2010 Al Neuharth Free Spirit Journalism Scholar for California

I was recently selected by the Freedom Forum in Washington, D.C., was the Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholar for the state of California for 2010. As part of this honor, I'll be awarded a scholarship, but I'll also be flying out to Washington, D.C., in March to partake in a variety of journalism-related activities, including witnessing a taping of Meet the Press, discussing journalism with David Gregory, and meetings with representatives of the First Amendment Center--it promises to be an exciting and fulfilling week!
